Continuing the SG60 celebrations, Drips Bakery Café has collaborated with Tokyo’s top 10 kakigori specialist, Sakanoue, to create their first locally inspired icy treat – the Aburi Corn Kakigori. Inspired by the nostalgic childhood snack of corn in a cup, this refreshing sweet-savoury dessert showcases sweet corn from Tiong Bahru Market, brushed with local soy sauce and lightly torched to bring out its roasted aroma. It is layered with mirin jelly, homemade corn sauce, red bean paste, and milk sauce – a fluffy, cool indulgence perfect for beating the heat.
