After years of hunting down deals from McDonald's and playing around with their mobile app (which is genuinely one of the best fast food apps in Singapore), here are the tips, tricks, and lesser-known features that every McDonald's regular should know. Whether you're trying to save money, skip the queue, or just figure out when breakfast ends - this guide covers it all.

Updated April 2026.

McDonald's Timing and Hours in Singapore

First, the essentials on McDonald's operating hours - keep this handy so you know exactly when to get your fix.

  • Breakfast is available before 11am on weekdays, and before 12pm on weekends and Public Holidays.
  • The regular lunch/dinner menu starts from 11am on weekdays, and 12pm on weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Apart from 24-hour outlets, most McDonald's open between 6am to 8am and close between 9pm to 12am depending on the location.
  • You can check the latest McDonald's Happy Meal toys and promotions here.
  • McDonald's full menu can always be found on their website, in case you're looking for the latest new burgers or breakfast items.

Why the McDonald's App is a Must-Have

If you haven't downloaded the McDonald's app yet, you're missing out. It's free, it gives you access to exclusive deals, and it lets you earn points on every purchase. Here are the key features worth knowing about.

First-time users get additional special deals and rewards such as free McNuggets after registering for an account!

1. Order at your table without visiting the counter

You can order your McDonald's food without going to the counter at all. Here's how:

  • Open the McDonald's app
  • Under the Order or Restaurants tab, choose the correct outlet (enable location for easier selection), then select "Order here"
  • Select your food, choose "Table service" as your pickup option, and enter your table number
  • Proceed to checkout, confirm, and pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card)
  • Your food arrives at your table. Done!

This is particularly useful during peak hours when the counter queue is long. You can also use it at the Drive-Thru and Self-Order Kiosk.

2. Earn points on every purchase and redeem free food

Always scan your QR code from the Deals tab before ordering. You earn 10 points for every $1 you spend - so an average meal of $8-10 earns you 80-100 points. That's nearly enough for a free Hashbrown (about 150 points). Over a few visits, you'll have enough to redeem free items like apple pies, ice cream cones, and more.

The points add up faster than you think. If you eat at McDonald's twice a week and spend $10 each time, that's around 1,000 points per month - enough for several free items.

3. Turn on notifications for 1-for-1 deals and new menu launches

The app's home page shows the latest happenings - limited-time menu items (like the recent Samyang collaboration and Grimace merch), in-app games where you can earn free snacks, and flash deals like 1-for-1 burgers.

The Deals page in the app is personalised to your account, which means some deals are exclusive to you. Check it regularly - the deals refresh often and you might find offers that aren't available to everyone.

If you don't like notifications, consider following our Telegram channel where we only push the best McDonald's deals when they come out!

4. McDelivery - order delivery right from the app

The McDonald's app now has a built-in McDelivery tab, so you don't need a separate McDelivery app. You can order delivery directly within the same app you use for dine-in deals. McDelivery regularly runs exclusive promos - for example, there's currently a 25% off McDelivery exclusive deal running.

You can also get free Chicken McNuggets on Drive-Thru orders from time to time - check the app for the latest.

Hidden Gems and Secret Features

Birthday month deals

Make sure your birthday is entered in your McDonald's app profile. During your birthday month, you'll receive special birthday deals and treats in the app. It's a nice little bonus that many people don't know about because they skip the profile setup.

Deals are personalised

McDonald's app deals are personalised to your account. This means your friend might see different deals than you. Some deals are repeatable daily, while others are one-time. If you accidentally redeem too early (before you're ready to order), repeatable deals will come back the next day.

One deal per transaction

You can only redeem one app deal per transaction. If you have multiple deals you want to use, you'll need to make separate orders. Plan accordingly if you're ordering for a group.

Current McDonald's Deals and Promotions

Here are some of the latest McDonald's promotions running right now:

  • McDelivery Exclusive: 25% off selected items
  • Grimace Merch: Tumbler ($19.90), Plush ($5.90), Puffer Bag ($12.90)

  • Kids Eat FREE with Family Meal order
  • 20pc Chicken McNuggets at $9.90
  • Coffee Voucher Pack: 6 McCafe drinks for $9.90
  • Free Chicken McNuggets on Drive-Thru orders (limited time)
